The client wanted my team to design an exhibition for the yellow ribbon project. The yellow ribbon project was a campaign to raise awareness of the need to give second chances to ex-offenders and their families. It is also to inspire community action to support rehabilitation and reintegration of ex-offenders back into society.

The initial concept was to create two prisons within my design. Since the motive of the yellow ribbon project was to reintegrate ex-offenders back into society. I decided to create a space where I would show how it would be like for ex-offenders if society does not accept them. That means they would face a second prison, one which they do not know when it would end, unlike prison.

Since the two prisons were different, I had to make it obvious in my design. For the actual prison, it was enclosed and the ceiling height was the minimum 2.4 meters. However, for the other prison, the society prison, it was larger and the ceiling height was much higher. Also, because the society prison will only end when society accepts them, therefore I made it seem more trapped.
